We are CHOW and we have a mantra. It is simply this: It’s All About the Food!
To those of us involved, CHOW isn’t a store or restaurant or catering business. It is the natural conclusion of years of thought and discussion by Island friends who know and love - and have decades of experience dealing with - food.
(Really, it was the only thing that we cold come up with that seemed as if it might be fun and also feed our collective culinary obsessions.) And we think it will work for you.
After living our entire lives right here on Staten Island, and dealing with the non-stop pace of new York life in the 21st Century, we thought it was time for someone to undertake the delivery of a more varied style of wholesome, fresh, quality food, in a manner that catches up with the realities of today.
The overall goal, we decided, would be to try to make life a little bit easier. . . and more exciting . . . for our friends, family and neighbors. To that end, we’ve constructed some of the best work space on Staten Island, filled it with top-quality equipment and brought together experienced employees who have purchased, prepared and cooked at some of the finest restaurants and catering halls in New York. We promise to keep the menu varied, the quality top-notch and the physical plant as clean and inviting as you’ll find.
Flexibility is the name of the game. You need a quick sandwich or two for lunch, fresh-brewed coffee to kick-start the day? How about some thoughtfully constructed and already prepared meals for a late after-work dinner? We’re not talking Chicken Parm or Cheeseburgers, though the cost won’t be far different. You’d like to barbecue for the whole gang, but never quite get the meats and fish seasoned correctly? We can do it.
Half the neighborhood's invading for the big football game, but you’d like to serve something a little tastier than the oh-so-predictable 6 foot hero? Give us a call. We’ll help make the party better.
How about a catered dinner for 20, soup to sorbet, just for fun? We do that, with some of the best staff around.
Or maybe the two of you spent a busy Saturday night and nothing would e better than a gourmet breakfast delivered bright and early Sunday along with hot buns, and the morning papers? It’s a snap, and we won’t forget the newspapers!
We can do it all! In fact, we will do it. We’ll cut our own meats and buy our own fruits and vegetables fresh from the green grocer. You’ll get what’s in season and it will be creatively prepared. There will be a baker in residence and an event planner any time you need one.
For us, all of us, it’s all about the food!
